How it works

Every free article has a Republish this article box at the end with ready-to-paste HTML. Or take the whole lot from our full-text feed for republishers:

The terms

You may republish our free articles at no charge, online or in print, as long as you:

1. Keep it whole. Publish the article in full, with its headline, byline, links and sources. You can change spelling and style to match your house style, add a date or a note about local relevance, and leave out images. Don’t otherwise edit it, and don’t present it as your own.
2. Credit us. Keep the credit line at the end: “This article was first published by Side Gig Wire”, linked to the original article.
3. Keep labels and disclosures. Sponsored articles stay labelled “Sponsored”, and any disclosure note stays where it is.
4. Point search engines to the original where your platform allows: add <link rel="canonical" href="(the article's address on sidegigwire.com)"> to the page.
5. Don’t sell it on its own. You can run ads around it, but you can’t sell the article itself or put it behind your own paywall.

Articles marked Pro are for our paying members and can’t be republished. We may ask you to update or remove an article, for example after a correction. If we do, please do so promptly.
